Prostone Ventura Concrete started in 2024 with a simple goal: give Ventura homeowners and business owners a concrete contractor they could actually count on. Ventura is a city with a lot of character - older craftsman bungalows in Midtown, hillside homes in the Ondulando neighborhood, beach cottages near Pierpont, and newer developments on the east side. Every part of town has its own set of challenges, and we built this company to handle all of them.
The coastal location creates real conditions that general contractors sometimes overlook. Salt air off the Pacific breaks down unsealed concrete faster than most homeowners expect. Clay soils in many Ventura neighborhoods expand and contract with the seasonal rains - one of the main reasons driveways and patios crack within a few years of being poured. We account for all of this from the first site visit: how we prepare the ground, the mixes we use, and the sealers we apply after every pour.
We are a local company. Our crew works in this community, and we take that seriously. Every project gets the same level of care whether it is a small backyard patio or a full foundation pour. If you have questions, you reach a real person - no runaround. Send us a message or call (805) 833-5370.
You get a clear written estimate before any work begins. No surprise line items, no vague pricing. What we quote is what you pay.
If we schedule a site visit or a pour day, we are there. Your time matters, and reliability is something we take seriously.
We protect your landscaping, clean up at the end of each day, and leave the work area in better shape than we found it.
Clay soils, coastal salt air, and seasonal rains require more than a standard approach. We factor all of it in from the first site visit.
The California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) requires concrete contractors to hold a C-8 specialty license. This means passing state examinations covering concrete work, trade knowledge, and business practices. You can verify any contractor's license at the CSLB website before any work begins on your property.
Every job is covered by general liability insurance and workers' compensation. This protects your property if something unexpected happens on-site, and it protects you from liability for any worker injuries. We provide a certificate of insurance before work starts - just ask.
